Make Up Challenge: Finale + My Top 5 Products!

It's the last make-up challenge update. I will do more fun make-up looks for sure but not as regular.

Day 29:  Do you like wearing liquid liner? (if so, what's your favourite)

Yes, I do wear liquid liner every time I do my make-up.

Day 30: Photo of yourself with and without makeup.

No! lol~ Um... not sure if I'm ready to show myself without any make-up on ㅎㅎㅎ

This last weekend me and my family had a lot of fun together. We went on the road trip to enjoy winter beach view and for friends meet-up. Of course I had to pack up my travel make-up bag and I've noticed that first few items I pull out immediately was the things I can't live without. So, let me share my Top-5 make-up items (in no particular order): 

Etude House Oh~ m'Eye Line in Oh~ My Black #01. True black liquid liner with brush tip. I'm almost out of it, there is a little product left just for a few uses and the stopper is already pulled out. I bought replacement of Laneige Extra Easy Eyeliner in Black. This one has a felt tip applicator and works as nice.

 Sleek Divine palette in Storm. Mineral based 12 eyeshadow palette with matte and shimmer colors to it. I use it all the time, as you can tell. The top 3rd eye shadow was completely finished and I pressed in another color. But this is my all time favourite! Also it has very good size mirror so when I'm traveling I don't have to bring a separate mirror with me. 2 in 1!

 Shiseido Spotscover Foundation. It's full coverage concealer works great for acne spots and discoloration. My second tube. Absolutely in love!

 The Face Shop Bebe Lip Essence from Lovely Me:ex collection. With SPF15. Moisturizing my lips so sooo well. I love TFS's lip creams, they are all amazing. Another good one is ChapStick in Apple Crunch  with SPF15 as well. Smells like a real apples and has a sweet taste :) For my tavel make-up bag I'll grab any of these. 

 Another must have of mine is Clean & Clear Oil Control Film. This one in pink but in blue works just as great. I'm using those years and years now and will continue using them.

Lavender Make Up Look feat. Beauty Steals

A little bit of make-up challenge update for the past 3 days.

Favourite eyeliner.

I understand this question as favourite eyeliner pencil because question about liquid eyeliner is coming up in a few days. Anyways, I don't have a favourite eyeliner. Usually I don't use any type of pencils on my waterline and upper lash line as well.

Do you wear make-up everyday?
It's depending, if I have to go out every day I wear make-up everyday. Skin unlike nails should have a rest and breathe days.

Favourite make-up remover.
The Face Shop Herb Days Cleansing Wipes. I showed them in my January beauty empties [HERE]. Always re-buy this cleansing tissues.

Last week I got package full of make-up from the Beauty Steals web-site. This is UK based on-line store which sales discount skin care and cheap cosmetics. Make sure to check out this web-site for lots of different make-up brand. So today I've created this lavender make-up look using all the items above.

For this makeup look I applied the lightest lavender shade from the Revlon palette to the inner half part of the eyelid. For the outer half I used the silver shade. Blended out both shades with second light lavender color. Added deep purple alone with matte black e/s to the outer V corner. Applied ight neutral e/s as my brow bone highlighter, black liquid eyeliner, Celebrity mascara, and Fresh Strawberry lips.

Revlon ColorSaty 12 Hour Eyeshadow in Lavender Meadow.
Nice eyeshadow quad. All 4 shades in this palette are shimmery. The texture is very powdery but at the same time it's easy to work with. Very easy to blend. I have swatched this palette on my hand without any sort of base.
Can see myself using this palette a lot, especially the darkest purple and silver shades.

Royal Lashed Out Black Eyeliner Pencil.
Ingredients: Cera Alba, Paraffinum Liquidum, Cera Microcristallina, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Ceresin, Petrolatum, Hydrogenated Coconut Oil, Lanolin Oil, Squalane, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
I have tried to use this eyeliner pencil to my waterline and it stays on very good. But the pencil by itself isn't smooth enough. Also this pencil comes with sharpener for the lid which is always a plus!

Celebrity Lash Bomb Mascara in Blackest Black.
"Extra thick brush that volumizes and shapes without clumping for explosive results. Creates full lush and longer lashes."
I don't like this mascara, to be honest. The texture feels kind of dry. Obviously it dries fast which makes it hard to build up the product and easily clumps the lashes. The color isn't that blackest black as it was promised on the package and it has a sour smell of PVA glue. And it doesn't require any effort to wash off this mascara.   

Esprit Lipgloss in Fresh Strawberry.
"Smooth creamy texture for delicious high shine lips. Enriched with royal jelly and vitamins A,C & E. Deramatologically tested."
I like this "color" lol~ because it looks clear on the lips. The texture is very light, not sticky at all. But it stays on just a few minutes after application. And it tastes sugary. Do you like sweet lipglosses?

Simple Valentine's Day Pedicure

I just updated my Project "Beauty Empties" for the January. I don't know, maybe it's something wrong with me but I just enjoy this project so so much! I love finishing products and see pictures of empties and hit pans of someone else. Love to see at new products but well used make-up inspires me much more!

I was doing pretty well with my purple gradation toes but since the weather is very cold now my feet are dry most of the time. Because I'm still surviving from ingrowing nails I have to take a good/regular care of my toes at winter otherwise it hurts. And guess I get more opportunity for nail art :)

This time I made this true red pedicure with gold glitter nail tips which is perfect for Valentine's Day. It's very easy to do and looks so nice on the toes! Of course it can be perfectly worn on the hands as well but I'm not into matching fingers and toes.

Super easy to do: apply 2 coats of basic red polish and with gold glittery polish make a gradient effect to the nail tips. And thats it :)

I used to hate red polish because we practiced at the nail school with this color all the time. But seems like "my wounds heal" finally :)

Make Up Challenge: Day 24

Which do you prefer: cream, liquid, matte, powder, sheer or shimmer eyeshadows?

Mostly I like to use matte and shimmer eyeshadows but if I really have to pick just one I'll go for the matte.

I have to confess lol~ I have a heavy load on the heart - someone really have to kick my ass and make me go to read hairdressing theory. But it's so uninteresting and it feels like my head don't wanna absorb any information. Inspiration, where are you?? I just need that stupid license!!! Why? Because I have nail thechnician license and I want to open my own nail salon but our state requiring the hairdressing license as well. Otherwise running the nail salon business would be illegal. And I like absolutely everything about nails but not hair and my new hairdressing teacher ahahahaha~!
Love you Korea but this is the most stupid law I've ever faced.

Because I don't wanna study lol~ I played with cut creasing look again. It's dramatic make-up using mostly neutral eyeshadows.
I cut the crease with black eye pencil and applied dark brown eye shadow on top, blended it out with light brown and orangie color. Sheer white e/s as a brow bone highlight, gold to the main eyelid and thick eyeliner.

Here is some of the products I used: Coastal Scents 88 regular palette, Lesha BB cream, Shiseido spotscover foundation, Etude House black liquid eyeliner and brown eyebrow mascara. Also I used loose powder, black eye pencil, black mascara, a pair of faux lashes, blush, face highliter and lipgloss.

Make Up Challenge + Haul

First of all, I'm very sorry for such rare update on make-up challenge. I know some of you was waiting for these posts and for more make-up looks. Promise, I'll be more organized with this challenge since there is only 7 days left.
I have played with pink eyeshadows today for Valentine's Day look. Had the cutes idea in my head for "strawberries and cream" eyes. It had to be white cut crease look with pink on the lid but as always something goes wrong. My whites was not bright enough to show precise cut crease look so I blended everything together and got this soft pink eyes. I got lots and lots of pimples and acnes on my forehead so I photoshoped it to hide all the bumps.

Day 16: Do you copy any celebrity's make-up?

Nope. Most of standart make-up looks doesn't suit my monolid eye shape. As much as I wanted to, I can't wear celebrity's make-up.

Day 17: Favourite make-up artist.
Don't have any, rather don't know any. Not interested :P

Day 18:  What's your favourite night time look?
I don't usually go out at night because I have 2 kids and they have regimen. But if I really have to go out at night I do my usual make-up which I wear at day time as well. Here is what I wear on daily basis ->

Day 19: Favourite concealer.
Shiseido Spotscover Foundation. Of course it's not a foundation but full coverage concealer. I love it a lot! And buy it one after another.

Day 20: Favourite eyeshadow primer.
Since I have monolid eyes I don't have a problem with eyeshadow creasing on me. So, any creamy type of eyeshadow works great for me just to get a sticky base for the eyeshadow.

Day 21: Where do you purchase your make-up?
Local beauty stores.

Day 22: Favourite toner.
I just bought replacements for my skin care item a few days ago. This is my all time favourite skin care products.

Power Essential Skin Refiner. Refreshing skin with purifying and softening effect for clear skin. For combination to oily types.

Balancing Emulsion. Lightweight emulsion with purifying and hydro balancing care for fresh and clear skin. For combination to oily types.

I also picked up compact powder and black liquid liner.

Forever Definite Compact Foundation SPF 32 PA+++. No.2 Natural Beige. I usually #21 for powders and foundations and this is kindda different numbers. But I swatched it in the store and seems like it suits me the best. Haven't had a compact powder in my collection for little while now and very exciting to try it out :)

Extra Easy Eyeliner. #1 Black. This one with felt tip applicator. Never can get enough of liquid liners :)

And here is all freebies I've got. A small make-up bag, Laneige Water Essence samples, IOPE samples and sheet masks.

Day 23: Favourite eyeshadow palette and blush palette.
My all time favourite eyeshadows is Sleek palette in Storm and I don't have any blush palettes but single once.

A Night at Las Vegas

This is nail art entry for the Nail Adobo group on Facebook I'm joining lately. The theme for this week is "A Night at Las Vegas" and really I didn't know what to do on my nails. I Googled this theme phrase and got tons of glam pictures of a beautiful sky, amazing buildings and all those night lights. So I decided to take an inspiration from that. It turned out as very busy design with lots of bling-bling particals. 

 How to make this nail art:

1. Apply base coat. Lets protect our natural nails!

2. Apply a coat of basic black polish and wait untill it completely dry.

3. Sponge dark blue, pink and orange colors at once and clean up around the nails.

4. Apply silver holo glitter polish to the nail tips.

5. Add rhinestones and micro beads to the lunula.

6. Seal everything with clear top coat. 

By the way, Adobo it's Philippine dish which made from pork or chicken. I got a recipe for this dish and already tried to cook it. I'm not a Filipino girl but I really do like this a lot! It's so yummy!

A Story Of My Manicure

I really had no idea how to paint my nails this time. So I took another polish which Secret Santa brought me and it is Color Club in Ulterior Motive. 2 coats on of this baby. I like this color a lot because it's kindda unique. It has lots of tiny blue sparkles to it but my camera don't wanna be a friend with bling-bling particals. Very easy application. And I've noticed it dry quite a long time without top coat and I got chip nail edges in a few hours. Definitely need a good long lasting top coat as well. But overall the color by itself and color pay off is great!

 Jocarste #8100. 2 layers on, no top coat. It's the first time I use this nail polish brand and I really do like it. This is clear base polish with tons of different glitters to it. It applies very opaque even in one layer. Dries super fast and has a sandy sort of finish, definitely not smooth. It is glitterbomb.com. Super-super sparkly under both artificial and sun light. Wearing this glittery polish on top of previous fuchsia color.

All those glitter nails wasn't enough for me so I sticked double tape to my nails and sponged with Aritaum in Absolute #11 royal blue polish on top. Added round silver holo glitters to the crossing space and sealed everything with clear top coat.

After a few hours I saw at my nails again and felt nothing but boring manicure. I sticked some floral nail stickers on top and ta-dah... super busy nail design which I'll be wear over the weekend. This was the most complicated mani I've ever done lol~ because I had no particular idea in my head... Should I take a breake on doing nails?

Not in a blogging mood at all lately, thats why there is no updates on make-up challenge, sorry! But I'm thankful to you for visiting my blog :) Have a great weekend!~

Poisonous Nails + MODI polish

2013 year - according to the Chinese calendar is the year of the Black Water Snake. Seems like I got too excitied about all those snakes and poisonous things because I come up with this design on my nails :)

How to get this nail design:

1. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails. Also it helps nail polish to stay longer and applies smoother. Thats wrong if you skip this step!!!

2. Apply yellow, lime green and darker green polishes to the sponge and make a gradation effect all over the nails. Do it 2 times to brighten up the colors. (Tip: apply creme white polish before sponging colors on).

3. Apply a coat of clear polish on top to make the gradient effect look even more blended.

4. With black acrylic paint and detail nail art brush draw some "drops" and fill them in.

5. You can stop here and finish the design with clear top coat but I decided to outline all the "drops" with green glitters.

Thats it :)

Went out to get some skin care products today and picked up more MODI polishes. They have 2+1 deal right now (buy 2 get 1 free MODI polish). So exciting, seems like they are new :)

Make Up Challenge: Missed Days

It was probably the worst idea ever I had in my head to start this make-up challenge LOL~ Because clearly, I can't follow day by day and regularly post an updates for it. Also the other reason I was avoiding to show the face lately is another acne attack. It's been really bad recently (my chin still hurts so much). And I really do appreciate some of you saying that my skin look perfect and flawless but that is just with lots of BB cream + consealer on. Without those products my skin looks disgusting, sad but true.

 Anyways, today I have played with some neutral shades and created this look. A bit dramatic but still being wearable, I guess. How to get this look:
1. I applied beige creame shadow all over the lid and blended it out.
2. Applied white gold e/s to the 2/3 of my lid and matte black e/s to the outer corner.
3. Blended out those colors with matte skin tone e/s.
4. Applied some matte brown, burgundy and matte black e/s to the outer corner and a little bit above as well to give more depth to the eyes.
5. Applied brow bone highlight, any matte light shadow will works. Matte black e/s to the lower lash line.
5. Liquid eyeliner, mascara and may be some faux lashes to finish of the look.

Day 10: Favourite make-up brush.
I already showed my favourite brushes [HERE] and talked about them a little bit. But I just can't pick only one, I need a basic set lol~

Day 11: Do you like wearing bronzer? (if yes what brand)
No, I don't wear bronzer.

Day 12: Favourite mascara.
That one which will give my eyelashes a good volume, curl them and save me from natural looking lashes. Right now my favourite one is The Face Shop Smoky Volume mascara from Lesson 1 kit. For myself I found that the cheaper mascara is then it works better lol~

Day 13: Where do you keep your make-up?

Day 14: Favourite Youtube guru(s).
I have a few absolutelly all time favourite beauty gurus for make-up: CarliBel55, Nicole Guerriero, and for nails: LOVE4NAILS, Tartofraises.

Day 15: Do you wear blush?
Yes, everytime I do my make-up I always wear blush. Without any blush on my face looks flat lol~
Here is my favourite babies: The Face Shop Lovely Me:ex blush which I got a few days ago, it's in Soft Sunset". Another The Face Shop blush from Lovely Me:ex collection in PK104 I guess. I haven't saved the name of the blush because I transfered it from the original package to this palette. But anyways, it's such adorable baby pink shade. And 2 of Tony Moly blushers I bought 3 may be 4 years ago, and believe me or not I use them so much and haven't even hit pan on any of them. Flower Pink (my everyday blush) and something in Bronze (I like to use it in summer time). The name is wear off already and I think they are not available any more lol~

OMG! Galaxy Glam!

Usually I never do nail polish swatches just because it's waste of product and time. But today I make an exception because all these polishes are very special for me. Recently I got a package from Secret Santa and there was exclusive franken polish for me. And I can not wait anymore and wanna try out all those colors. 

Galaxy Glam. Franken polish with lots of different flakies to it. I have 2 layers of the franken on top of black creme polish. It looks very mysterious and fascinating just like galaxy. I love this polish so much! Thank you agan Thiamere!

Peridot. OMG Crystal Sand nail polish. Combination of green color with tons of fine silver glitters to it. I have 2 layers on without top coat. It feels like a sand after completely dry. Dries quite fast. Easy application. And I think it has dull finish, not sure though.

 Disco Ball. OMG cleared based polish with lots of light green and gold hexagons as well as fine glitters to it. 2 layers on, no top coat. I have it on top of previous polish. Easy application, dries in normal time.

 Hematite. OMG Crystal Sand nail polish. Another fabulous polish. Combination of black color and silver fine glitters to it. I have 2 layers on without top coat. Again, I think it has a dull finish, may be I'm wrong. 

 Strobe. This is totally OMG! I like those flakies so much! I have to try it on top of basic black polish next time because it's bomb.com. I have 2 layers on without top coat. I took this picture in shade so it's easier to see the flakies :)

The other day I changed my pedicure. For this time I used Delightful Purple gradation nail polish kit #04 from The Face Shop. Applied it stright with nail polish brush as it says on the back of the package.

Etude House: If Story Nail Kit

I bought this nail polishes during Christmas sale at the Etude House store. They relised a few Holiday If Story Nail Kits. And mine is #04 If the White Witch Melts with Love. Which contains 2 nail polishes and some useful information on the box.

This combination of nail polishes looks very adorable to me, suits the skin tone (Asian skin tone) perfectly. Make my hands looks more fresh and white :)

Melts With Love. 2 layers on, without top coat. Basically a light milky purple color with lots of different type of glitters to it. All these polishes has very wide brush which kindda starting to get on my nerves. Because I find it hard to get a nice cuticle line with that monstress bristles. But overall it's a very pretty nail color which can be worn by itself and look creative.

 If The White Witch. Clear based polish with tons of white blue and some duochrome glitters to it, which are much better visible in real life then on the picture. It definitely will looks prettier on dark base polish. I also have some example swatches of this polish on top of creme white and creme black colors [HERE]. I have 2 layers on without top coat. Dries in a normal time.

Also I got surprise package this morning! Nail mail from my Secret Santa :) I'm joining an amazing group on Facebook and we had a small challenge during the holidays. And here is my Belated Christmas gift which is awesome! I got OMG polish with some of other pretty colors, one special flakie franken, make-up brush guards, water decals and nail patches. Thank you so very much Thiamere, I love everything!!

Disney Theme: Princess Jasmine Nails

I'm stuck at home for the past few days. It's very cold outside and because my eldest son is still at home I don't want to take him out. And obviously got nothing to do like painting my nails ahahaha~ I made Disney mani today, wanna be pretty :)

I'm 27 already but still in love with all these Disney princess characters as a child :)

 How to get this design:

1. Make sure to apply a base coat to protect your natural nails.
2. Then apply creme white polish on middle finger and baby blue to the rest of the nails.
3. Apply silver glitters to the nail tips on baby blue polish (skip the ring finger though).
4. Apply Jasmine image water decal on to the white polish.
5. With white acrylic paint and detail nail art brush draw a Disney castle on the ring finger.
6. Seal everything with clear top coat.

ANE Nails Princess Water Decals

A pack of 12 image tips (Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Ariel), 1 smoothing tool (blue tiny nail file) and step-by-step pictorial on the back of the package.

I have no idea why my pictures of the water decals come out like this. In real life all those images looks absolutely as normal pictures without that texture, I swear.

Make Up Challenge

I haven't had enough time to make a blog posts for make-up challenge this past 3 days. And so I'll fill in for three days again. 

Day 7: Favourite eyeshadow color.

My favourite eyeshadow color is definitely matte black. I can't live without a matte black color.

Day 8: What's your favourite daytime look?

I recently stick with dark purple shades. I apply dark purple on my eye lid, deep blue color on to the corners of my eyes and matte black to the very outer corner and lower lash line. I wear this make-up as a daytime look. 

Day 9: Photo of your make-up collection.

To little? To much? For me it's ok, but I definitely try to use as much as possible. I want my make-up collection be smaller size.
I have a few skin care products, make-up brushes and my main make-up I keep in basic 3 drawer "shelf" thing.

The first drawer is face products and big eyeshadow palettes. The second one contains lip stuff, blushes, my loose face powder, eye brow products, eye pencils, mascaras and liquid eyeliners. And the last one is all my eyeshadows.
